An 18th-century riad framed by zellige courtyards, plunge pool and rooftop with views over the Koutoubia.

The house sleeps eight across four bedrooms, each on its own corner of the courtyard. A staff of three — Maâlem, chef, housekeeper — live during your stay and disappear when you do not want them.

The salon, with its 18th-century cedar ceiling, opens onto the orange-tree courtyard. A small library off the salon holds books on the medina, in four languages. The rooftop terrace is the secret. At dusk it catches the last gold off the Koutoubia. We light it for you, every evening, at seven.
